About the Conference

The International Conference on Biotechnology for Food Security and Human Health is organized to convene researchers, academia, policy makers and private sector players to explore the role of biotechnology and related biosciences in achieving food and nutrition security and improved health, with emphasis on the African region.

The conference convenes global leaders from academia, industry, and government to advance cutting-edge biotechnological innovations from discovery to real-world impact in food systems and global health. The Conference includes keynote presentations, technical sessions, oral presentations and exhibitions.

Attendees will engage in collaborative discussions designed to foster regional partnerships and drive policy frameworks that accelerate sustainable agricultural development. Also, an interactive poster session will highlight groundbreaking research from emerging scientists, providing a platform for mentorship and future global investments.

Call For Abstracts

Abstracts are invited from academia, scholars, practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and students for presentations during the conference. Abstract of original research, reviews, or case studies aligned with the following thematic areas: Food security, Bioresources conservation, Tropical diseases.

Abstracts must be in Word format, single line spacing, Times New Roman font style, font size 12, and not exceed 250 words. For empirical research, the abstract must include the following sections: Background and purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Keywords.

Abstract submission is online at conferences@unescoicb.org.ng.

Indicate authors’ names in this format: First name, Middle name (if any), Surname. Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) on the surname. Provide a valid email address and phone number of the corresponding author. Use the corresponding author’s surname and presentation type as the subject of the email. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a panel and decisions will be communicated to authors through the e-mail addresses provided while registering. Note that abstracts that do not comply with the guidelines will not be considered.
